Over the years God has been quietly laying the foundation for Kinsman Redeemer.  He cultivated our hearts for service on both a local and international level through our local church body and the study of God's Word.  We were so thankful for God's grace given to us and we wanted to leave a spiritual legacy of gratitude.   One of the ways we chose to do this was by helping a family at our church with the financial needs of their two adoptions.  We didn't realize there would be more.

God's still, small voice compelled us to think bigger and the seeds of Kinsman Redeemer were planted.   As we saw more families around us stepping out in faith to adopt, God laid it upon our hearts that we could and should do more.  He connected us with a ministry in North Carolina called Caroline's Promise (www.carolinespromise4u.org) and we were inspired to do something similar in our own area.   While we were committed to do our part, we knew that the blessings could be multiplied by inviting others to join us.

We joined friends who are adoptive parents and who share our passion for the "least of these".   With much prayer, Kinsman Redeemer was launched with the desire to see more children experience the love and security of a forever family.  Our tax exempt status was granted in May of 2008 and we rejoice to see how God quickly provided us opportunities to give grants, both for adoptive families and orphan care.  It is our prayer that with your help, we can assist many more families as they bring their precious children home!
